Yes, I know I'm a lucky guy! - In 8/97 I had to go to San Jose, CA. Because a friend of mine stayed at this time in Chicago, I decided to travel the weekend before I had to go to California to Chicago. So I met her at the airport - and we spent 2 days with sight seeing and shopping.
For me it was the first time in Chicago - and so I was impressed by the Skyscrapers that were standing direct beside of Lake Michigan. The coast at Lake Michigan is a sand coast - and looks like you are sitting at the sea.
If you are coming form the airport it can take up to one hour until you are in Chicago Downtown. With the water streets through the whole city you feel like you are in Venedig (Venice). Because I was so impressed about the town I forgot to make more pictures. So this picture was the only one I can provide to you!
The idea for my Webpages name and the cover photo is also from Chicago. The photo was made at the entrance to the SKYDECK at Sears Tower.
